JEXPO and VOCLET are the traditional names associated with Polytechnic Diploma admission in West Bengal.
JEXPO – First Year Admission
JEXPO traditionally referred to the entrance examination for admission into the first year of Diploma Engineering and Technology programmes. Under the 2026–27 admission system, eligible candidates were selected on the basis of qualifying examination marks rather than a separate written entrance examination.
VOCLET – Second Year Lateral Entry
VOCLET traditionally referred to the admission pathway for direct entry into the second year of Polytechnic Diploma courses. The 2026–27 admission guidelines also adopted merit-based admission for this pathway.
The final admission method for 2027–28 will depend on the new official notification.
