Bioinformatics (M.Tech)
Eligibility:
B.E./B.Tech.(Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering)/M.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biosciences)/B.Pharm. Candidates appearing for their final year examination, or whose results are awaited, may also apply provided that, if selected, they will be admitted provisionally subject to submission of their final mark sheet by the cut-off date to be notified later by the university, failing which the provisional admission shall stand cancelled.
All the above students should have procured 60% marks at least in any two; Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics during their Higher Secondary (+2 level) examination, 50% in B.Sc (in Honors) and 55% in M.Sc (at Part-1). Candidates with B.Tech should have 7.25 CGPA (65%).
Tuition Fees:
Tuition fee of Rs. 3000/- per month is payable for this course. Besides, other fees are also payable at the time of admission and at the beginning of each semester.
Admission Test:
Pattern of the question: All questions to be divided into two categories. First category shall comprise of 40 compulsory questions (based on Higher Secondary level) and the second category (based on UG and / PG level) shall contain 50 questions out of which only 10 questions to be answered.
Computer Science & Engineering(M.E.), Software Engineering (M.Tech.), Microelectronics & VLSI Technology(M.Tech.), Computer Science & Engineering with specialization in Information Security(M.Tech) and Information Technology(M.Tech.)
Eligibility:
i) The candidate has obtained Bachelor's degree in Engg/Tech (B.E. / B.Tech) in CSE, ECE, ECTE, IT, EI, EE or M.Sc. In CS/IT/Electronics/Physics or equivalent securing a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 6.75 of a seven point grading system on a basis of 10.0 in the qualifying examination or its equivalent. In addition the candidate should have 50% marks in all examinations (45% for reserved candidates). The candidate has passed Membership/Associateship Examination in the appropriate disciplines conducted by all professional bodies like Institute of Engineers (India)/ Institute of Electronics Telecommunication Engineers etc. approved by Govt. of India with at least 60% marks in the aggregate (50% for SC/ST/PD candidates). This also includes DOEACC [B-Level].
For software Engineering: M.Sc. (Mathematics) and MCA candidates may also apply provided they have a science background, i.e., Science in HS level and passed B.Sc. with Physics, Mathematics (compulsory) and Computer Science, Electronics or Chemistry.
ii) Candidates with valid GATE score will be given proportionate weightage of the GATE score.
iii) Candidates who have appeared / due to appear at the qualifying examinations (BE / B.Tech. / M.Sc. / AMIE Sec A. & B. / AMIIM / AMIETE etc or equivalent) may also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted if they submit valid proof of their passing the qualifying examination with required percentage of marks at the time of admission.)
iv) Admission test will be through written test followed by an interview to test the aptitude and analytical abilities, computaional skills, fundamental in relevant basic subjects. The syllabus for a written test will be as per GATE sullabus for CSE & IT for 1,2 and 4; and CSE & Electronics for 3.
Industrial Engineering & Management(M.Tech.)
Eligibility:
B.E / B.Tech in any branch of Engineering / technology or equivalent. Those who are appearing this year for their final examination may also apply and will be considered for provisional admission if selected. The candidate should secure a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 6.75 of a seven point grading system on a basis of 10.0 in the qualifying examination or its equivalent. In addition the candidate should have 50% marks in all examinations (45% for reserved candidates).
Selection Interview: Candidates will have to appear for a Personal Interview (PI) for selection. Candidates with valid GATE score will be given proportionate weightage of the GATE score.
